The Byzantine and Christian Museum, based in Athens, is one of the national museums of the country and one of the most important museums internationally for the art and culture of Byzantine and post-Byzantine times. It has more than 25,000 objects, organized in collections, which date from the 3rd to the 20th century and come mainly from the wider Greek, Asia Minor and Balkan area.
